I do have to agree with you 100% on what you have said above. But you gotten more than your shaft in playing mmo's.

In my experiences I have enjoyed starting from scratch and looking back at my accomplishments. Also "you end up wearing what everyone else is" Hit home with me, as I have always tried to strive to make my person match, and yes I have taken hits in stat points etc. Aside from that it is not entirely true, as many people will go for "sets" instead of reading the actual numbers and calculating them. If you like to follow you will be sucked into having the same armor and "specs" as others. If you are actually that into the uniqueness of mmo's and want it badly enough, you will find ways to become unique and experiment. The talent system is a great way in wow to do this.

<3 wine. my sentence structure is terrible and 50% probably didnt make sense. that was my best attempt.

awesome article, parts of it felt like i was explaining my thoughts of mmo's currently.

so... fuck you! get outta my mindz

dear pete,

even though i don't know what any of this means, i read it anyways because i can tell that its good. things like "grinding for pelts" "mmo's" and the like are foreign to me, but if they weren't, i would certainly read this blog even more frequently than i already do, and believe me i read each new post regardless of the fact that im not sure what its about

i think you should write about the office, or perhaps write about how much riding the T sucks, or write about the search for a comfortable bra. because these things i know about and would love to experience the witty way you view them.

ok. bye.

I heard that Gore Verbinski is going to direct the Bioshock movie. I have faith in Gore Verbinski I have a feeling he is going to make a remarkable movie and blow us all away. Did you hear they are making a movie out of City Of Ember too! The preview reminded me of Bio-Shock, in fact I thought that was the trailer. But The movie looks like it’s going to be awesome. The set designer for Titanic and Nightmare Before Christmas is doing the sets for the movie, and from what I can from the trailer it looks so creepy/awesome!
My name is Blair Landon and I am an official ambassador for City of Ember. I have access to first-look pics of the movie not seen in the trailer (located on MySpace), and i'd love you to take a peak at them! I could also really use your help in spreading the word about COE and get lots of buzz going!
Don't forget to check out the widget we have too. It's pretty interactive and shows you where all the other City of Ember fans are around the world!
Again, I hope I'm not over-stepping and bounds by posting on your blog.

Passive Aggressive Notes will always be a classic; seeing the kind of emails we receive in gaming journalism out in the open like that is, indeed, golden.

Also Nintendo did not invent the Flying Mouse. They are the first to make a game system with it but there were other 3d mice before the Wii.

Dude. The Newton project at Microsoft is real, it is going to be a real product. I have folks on the inside at Xbox and Microsoft has done a horrible job at keeping secrets. This is actually my fourth big scoop with news out of Microsoft in the last year.

Good film but the shaky handheld camera effect sort of wrecked it for me. Made it hard and annoying to follow.
